Originally produced as a companion to Simply Scottish, a weekly Scottish radio program hosted by Andrew and his father since 1998, the website has grown to become a complete resource of its own, constantly changing as new features and resources are produced and added.

The site attracts Scottish enthusiasts of all nationalities and locations, but also caters to Scots themselves, who enjoy the website’s portrayal of Scotland as a complete whole, instead of a relegated part of something. The site features unique interviews and spotlights not found anywhere else on the web. And the site integrates the latest headlines, weather, and event information as well, so that visitors, while enjoying the culture, history, and tradition of Scotland, also are provided with the immediate daily events, news, and progress of the nation. In fact, Andrew McDiarmid worked with Scotland’s largest daily broadsheet newspaper, 

The Scotsman, to produce the internet’s first ever dynamic Scottish national news feeds from
